(for 4 people)
½ stale baguette bread
1 packet of İçim Chief cream
2 eggs
2 tablespoons granulated sugar
1 packet of vanillin
1 teaspoon vanillin
Maple syrup
For the sauce,
½ pack of İçim Chief cream
1 tablespoon granulated sugar
1 egg yolk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon cocoa
– Slice stale, but not rock-hard, 2-day-old half baguette bread into 1.5 cm thick slices.
– Whisk 1 packet of İçim Şef cream, 2 eggs, 2 tablespoons of granulated sugar and 1 packet of vanillin in a small bowl.
– Dip the bread slices into this mixture and leave for about 1 minute until well coated on all sides.
– Open the pan, melt 1 teaspoon of butter and heat it. Put the soaked bread in the pan and cook for 1 minute on each side until nicely colored.
– For the sauce, put ½ pack of İçim Şef cream in a small sauce pot. Add 1 egg yolk, vanilla and 1 tablespoon granulated sugar, whisk and start cooking. After about 3-4 minutes, it will thicken nicely and turn into a sauce. Reserve half of the sauce, add 1 teaspoon of cocoa to the remaining half and mix well.
– Pour maple syrup or any of the sauces you have prepared over the French toast and enjoy.
